Current Music: Rob Zombie - American Witch
Oh, that other sound? Sneezing myself awake at 4:15am because apparently a pollen count of 1600+ is irritating to the sinuses or something. Great, an AJC article mentions that "we're expecting a new high count this year" - the old high count is 6,013, from 1999. That sucked. When it's that high, the warning should simply be "do you breathe? Don't go outside today." I miss California during times like this. Back to my original topic. 278 pounds. Time to make that number go down.

Current Music: Slayer - Disciple
You have been warned. So, I run Fedora Core 2 on my workstation at work. Being as we're a Linux house, this works for me. I switched over from GNOME to KDE last week, just to see if KDE was a bit more responsive. Whoa, it was. It's come a long, long way since the first time I ran it (1.0-something-or-other). All of that aside, it wouldn't play mp3's. Damned RedHat and their desire to avoid licensing problems at the cost of MY inconvenience. Anyway, so I went ahead and used yum to update KDE, so mp3's would play. 3 hours later, I'm finally done. Three hours. Ye gads, I'm glad I can multitask. It sucked to have to download the updates off a T1, however. My cable modem at home is 3x faster. And just think, until 2000 (when I moved to California), I never had broadband. All of the above being said, KDE is pretty damned slick. I'm using JuK right now to listen to mp3's, and while it's not iTunes, it's pretty nice.

Yaaaaaay! Now to attempt getting home. I should sell tickets, and call it a play "How the reader found his way home through all the lemmings." Act 1: Escape the clutches of 200,000 Bible-thumpers! Act 2: Brave the jam-packed roadways! Ok, so it needs work. Have a good weekend, y'all.

Changed it again, text boxes were a bit dark. If this keeps up, I'm going to end up learning how to do my own custom stuff or something. Yeah. I require caffeine.

Oh, this is my first attempt at a non-stock look for mah journal. Comments?
And again, I got drenched at lunch. Though, the tables and chairs outside at El Azteca on peachtree had it worse. They got blown across the driveway, and a gutter came off the building. The food was good, made better by the fact that it was free. Yay!
